Gate Burton Energy Park
The second of four solar projects in our area, the ''Gate Burton Energy Park'' has entered the Examination stage with the Planning Inspectorate.
This proposal may not be the one nearest to you, but as a group we must oppose them all in turn to succeed and not let the Developers "Divide and Conquer." We have moved on to another stage of dates:

The recent hearings at the Gate Burton Energy Park saw some positive arguments made by team 7000 acres, members and the public. There are videos on the inspectorate website for you to view if you missed them for the hearings from 22nd to 24th August. Please ensure you make a submission regarding your thoughts and feelings regarding the arguments made. We need to capitalise on the positive performance. Please make your submission by Deadline 3 1st September 2023.

Cottam Solar Project
The first of four solar projects in our area, the ''Cottam Solar Project'' has now closed for registration to become a Relevant interested party. It closed on 30th March. If you have registered we will let you know of all the stages through out the process. If you didn't register you can still comment. Although the inspectorate will not guarantee to take it in to account but it is really important that you do so because the more voices we have the stronger we will hopefully be heard.
The next stage for the Cottam Solar Site will be the Preliminary hearing and open floor hearing. This will be on September 5th. Plus the issue specific hearing will be held on September 6th 2023.

The Preliminary Hearing For the West Burton Energy Park is 7th September 2023 10 am, Lincolnshire Showground, Grange-de-Lings, Lincoln, LN2 2NA. The Open Floor Hearing is 3 pm on 7th September at the same venue.

This is the 4th of the four developments and is behind all the others in terms of timeline and is currently in public consultation.
The consultation is now closed.

We are waiting for comfirmation of the next stage of the process.
